The Minister
Rev Lindsay Kemp came to Newmount in 2009. She is married to Ian, another Methodist Minister in the Derby Circuit, and they have three grown up children.
Lindsay studied at Wesley House in Cambridge before becoming a Circuit Minister, and was involved in rural ministry before coming to Derby. She feels passionate about reaching out into the community and sharing the message of God’s love for all.
Taking regular services in local care homes with groups from this and other churches is currently an important part of her work. Offering regular Pastoral Services during the year to serve the Community is another interesting area of work to be developed.
The Stewards
The Church Stewards are a representative body of elected members, who co-ordinate with other committees within the church.
