Littleover Live at Home

The Littleover Live at Home Scheme is for anyone over the age of 60 who still live in their own homes.  We aim to provide support and friendship; this is provided by one co-ordinator with a team of two assistant co-ordinators, and a Lunch Club Support Worker, and we rely on volunteers who help at our activities and also support our befriending service and visit members regularly.

At our weekly lunch clubs, members get picked up from home by mini-bus and taken to one of our clubs.  These are at Littleover Methodist Church on Constable Drive (on Monday), and here at Newmount on Wednesday.  They enjoy a cooked lunch, followed by entertainment, before they are returned home safely.

We also go out on regular outings, hold coffee morning, and table-top sales, to help raise funds for our running costs.  We are always looking for more volunteers to drive, helping cook meals, serving meals, washing up, and visiting members.  If anyone has as little as an hour to spare each week, we would be very pleased to hear from you - please telephone 01332 736409.

If there is anyone who would benefit from the services we offer, we would only be too pleased to come and discuss this further.

We meet Wednesday lunchtime.
