Christ the Chef

As I was driving along the other day, a van overtook me. On the back-left hand door it said ‘Chris the Chef’. As I got closer to the van, I could see the email address for the company on the lower part of the door. I glanced quickly at and I read ‘Christhechef’, which I first read as Christ the Chef.
What a tremendous thought!
God does supply our every need. He ensures we have enough food for our bodies spiritually. He gives us all we ever need. Not all we ever want. He gives us so many things. I wonder how long your list would be if you wrote down all the things He gives you?
John 55:50-59
But the bread that comes down from heaven is of such a kind that whoever eats it will not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live for ever. The bread that I will give him is my flesh, which I give so that the world may live.”
This started an angry argument among them. “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” they asked.
Jesus said to them, “I am telling you the truth: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in yourselves. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them to life on the last day. For my flesh is the real food; my blood is the real drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them. The living Father sent me, and because of him I live also. In the same way whoever eats me will live because of me. This, then, is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the bread that your ancestors ate. They later died, but those who eat this bread will live for ever.”

Lord you went to the cross for us and you love us like no other. You came that we might have life in all its fullness. You are our rock, our shield, our fortress. You send angels into our lives when we need them. When we reflect back on our lives, we can see your hand was at work. You are faithful like an endless sea.

Let us pray
Father you are so good to us every day of lives. How can we ever thank you? We are so grateful that we can have peace in the knowledge that as your children we are precious to you and you will provide for us all the days of our life. May we never forget all you do for us.
