Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), all mid-week activities are suspended. Advice for Sunday worship to follow

About Us

Newmount Methodist Church is a church community in the Blagreaves area of Derby.

On Sundays we meet for Morning Worship at 10.30am and 6.30pm for Evening Worship. Our worship takes many styles and we believe we offer something for every one. Look and see if there is something here for YOU! We also hold a wide variety of other meetings each week which provide opportunities for all to find our more about what it means to follow Jesus.

Our Sunday morning services include a hymns and worship songs, readings from the Bible and teaching from a Methodist Minister or Local Preacher. Children and young people are invited to take part in their own groups moving to a separate area of the building for part of the service. Evening services are often a traditional form of worship. We celebrate Holy Communion in the evenings on the first Sunday evening and the second Sunday morning each month. In addition, we also celebrate Holy Communion at special services at Easter and Christmas and a 9:00am Holy Communion 4 times a year as advertised

On the first Sunday morning of each month, Access All Areas is an informal event which runs with a yearly theme. These services are often led in-house and last between 45 mins and an hour, leaving plenty of time for refreshment and chat afterwards.

Creative Prayze happens on the third Sunday evening of each month. It often follows the theme of our AAA (see above) providing time for reflection with images and music.

We hold an occasional Soul Cafe event. This is cafe style and very informal with live music and insightful words. Details of this is usually published in Newmount News or can be found in our News section.
