Christmas 2018

Posted on 18 December 2018

On the first Christmas, shepherds visited a baby born in Bethlehem. Their journey was prompted one night by the visit of an angel who said ‘Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy. Today a saviour has been born’. (Luke 2 : 10)
That saviour was, of course, the Lord Jesus and the message of good news and great joy was addressed not only to the shepherds but to all people. The angel was then joined by a heavenly host of many angels, who sang praises to God and wished peace on earth. That same message of salvation and peace is still on offer to each of us today without any kind of conditions. You will hopefully have received one of our knitted angels.  There are some outside Newmount, please do take one with you if you are passing, or come and join us for our Christmas services
