Being Thankful

Psalm 92: 1-4 - A Song of Praise
How good it is to give thanks to You, O LORD,
to sing in Your honour, O Most High God,
to proclaim Your constant love every morning
and Your faithfulness every night,
with the music of stringed instruments
and with melody on the harp.
Your mighty deeds, O LORD, make me glad;
because of what You have done, I sing for joy.
When things are going well, it is easier to focus on our blessings and to praise God but do we remember to give thanks to God every day, even the more difficult ones? God loves to hear our praise and as we meet with Him, our hearts can be uplifted.
This week I came across a faith at home activity called “31 ways to be thankful during the Covid-19 outbreak” and I thought I would share a few of the sentences for you to complete:
I am thankful for the outdoors especially…
I am thankful for time to…
I’m thankful for our local area, especially…
I am thankful for people who encourage us including…
I’m thankful for music, especially…
Psalm 100:4-5
Come into his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Offer thanks to him and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his unfailing love endures for ever and his faithfulness to all generations.

Prayer
Loving God, we have so much to thank You for, forgive us for taking Your gifts for granted. Thank You for Your daily blessings, for answered prayer, Your provision and great goodness. Help us not only to ask in faith but to receive with gratitude.
Amen
