Give Thanks

Welcome to ‘Sharing Our Faith Together’
In recent years I have been very fortunate to be able to travel extensively (and not just by train) in this and many other countries. On my travels, by God’s grace, I have seen the wonders of nature, the fantastic creations of man and had experiences that will be remembered for the rest of my life.
However, over the last couple of months, since lockdown, all that has come to sudden stop – hit the buffers big time!! But, what has happened now, with travel restrictions and social distancing etc, the local walk has become a very important part of my daily routine.
In doing so, I have become more aware that there is much beauty to be seen and experienced in the fields and trees nearby, the local streets, the birds and nature in general. These thoughts lead naturally to a realisation that instead of bemoaning all the things we cannot do at the moment like travel, holidays and meeting others etc. why not focus and really enjoy all that is on our doorstep.
So, as you remain local or even if you only get as far as your own garden – give thanks to God and enjoy everything around you as much as you can.
Prayer
Lord you have given us so much. Help us to be content and give you thanks.
Amen
Enjoy the choice of music today – noting that as we enjoy nature, so too, can we experience the ‘Wonderful Grace of Jesus’.
