Sharing Our Faith Together

How Great You Are, O God.

Reading…..Psalm 8 verses 3 to 9

When I look at the sky, which you have made, at the moon and the stars, which you set in their places, what are human beings that you think of them; mere mortals, that you care for them?

Yet you made them inferior to yourself, you crowned them with glory and honour. You appointed them rulers over everything you made; you placed them over all creation: sheep and cattle and wild animals too; the birds and the fish and the creatures in the seas.

O Lord, our Lord, your greatness is seen in all the world.

Prayer

Father God we praise you for your creation of which we are a part. Looking up, looking down and looking all around we cannot be more than astounded by the things we see and so much we have not seen. May we continually be closer to you as we absorb this wonderful world.

Amen

It has been so long since we have had fellowship one with another on the Lord’s day. If we were to return tomorrow I wonder if there is anything you can say you have really missed. Personally I have to say I have missed the singing. There is something about the voice we all have, but it is the embellishment of musical instruments that bring the voice into a new realm.

In the early hours of last Tuesday morning the night sky was filled with rumbling of an angry bear, but he was not alone as his friend or colleague lit the sky up with flash upon flash of lightning. Creation had found a way of communication rarely experienced to that level, voices indeed! We heard a song called “Creation sings the Fathers song”. How true, that is and all too often we don’t hear it because we are switched off to creation or the creator.

Let’s look forward to getting together, singing and absorbing God’s message with clearer ears.

A Blessing

May the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the love of God be with us all now and forever more.

Amen
