One Step at a Time

Psalm 121 v 1-2
1. I lift up my eyes to the hills ,where does my help come from? 2.My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
I absolutely love reading books about real life mountain climbers and and polar explorers. I find it fascinating! Of course they have to be super fit, both physically and mentally. For example, mountaineers have to know exactly what they are doing and the best route to take up the mountain. They are obviously very experienced and they seem to know the safest and best way. Safety is paramount, as one mistake can prove fatal, as has happened in the past. They have great respect for the mountains and for each other. To see a sunset or sunrise from the top of a mountain must be absolutely wonderful, and all these things are made by God’s hand. WOW!!!
It’s a bit like us when we try to do things. Sometimes it’s an uphill struggle, and we may feel like we are climbing a mountain! Yet there is help at hand. We only need to look to God, and if we believe and trust in Him, He will take us by the hand and lead us one step at a time to where He wants us to be, and he won’t let us fall. So we don’t have to be concerned about going on alone, as we know that we can rely on Him.
