Read John 10:1-16

Jesus is the good shepherd, he lays down his life for his sheep. He leads them and they follow him, because they recognise his voice, but they will not follow someone whose voice they do not recognise.

Jesus is our shepherd, and we are his sheep.

We all need Jesus in our lives to lead and guide us. We know his voice and we will follow him, knowing that he will lead us in the right paths, because he cares for each one of us. It is comforting to know that he is always there interceding with God for us.

In verse 16, Jesus says. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

Jesus wants us all to draw closer to him, to hear his voice and become part of his flock.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, we thank you that you lead us in your ways.

Help us to hear your voice clearly, and to follow you.

Amen
