The Power of God

As I went for a daily walk and saw a sheep licking her new born lamb, and then giving birth to a second, I was once again reminded of God’s creative power. Yet this is just a tiny part of Gods creative world. A blue tit is building a nest in the nest box in the garden. In this time of crisis God’s power is evident in what is happening around us. The Easter celebrations declared the power of the cross. There is no one like our God. His power can be seen everywhere.

Psalm 95:1-7

Come, let us praise the Lord!

Let us sing for joy to God, who protects us!

Let us come before him with thanksgiving

and sing joyful songs of praise.

For the Lord is a mighty God,

a mighty king over all the gods.

He rules over the whole earth,

from the deepest caves to the highest hills.

He rules over the sea, which he made;

the land also, which he himself formed.

Come, let us bow down and worship him;

let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

He is our God.

Our God is an amazing God. Nothing compares to the promise we have in him. Through the death of Jesus, we have life in all its fullness. As we allow the holy spirit to dwell in us, God guides and directs us.

God has done so much for us that -

All of our days

Every day

Every moment

Should be of praise to him, through our actions, thoughts, words and prayers.

May this be our prayer today –

Lord God, may my life each and everyday be for your glory and praise and a thank you to you for all you have given us.

For the outworking of your kingdom we pray.
