Since the first lockdown, Kelvin and I have enjoyed listening to the 8am service on BBC Local Radio. The themes, leaders and presentations have been very varied and I have invariably found a 'word' for me each week.
When they announced, on Sunday, that the focus for the service was to be rugby league, I must admit I wasn't sure what I would get out of it! Guess what?.... God had other ideas.
The testament of one of the players they spoke to was very powerful and one of the hymns, which was new to me, has stayed with me ever since, prompting me to find it on YouTube so I can play it frequently. The song speaks so clearly of what it means to believe. In moments of doubt or worry what a great song to listen to for strength and re-enforcement.
YouTube shows adverts which may not be appropriate to the video we have selected.
Let the lost be found and the dead be raised
In the here and now, let love invade
Let the church live loud, our God we'll say
We believe, we believe.
Apologies to those of you who already knew this song, but I don't imagine anyone would object to hearing it again!
