In His Strength

Psalm 130
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
from all their sins.

As we go through these vey strange times it would be so easy to try and do things in our own strength. Using the words of the psalm and the song let us remember to wait upon the Lord and therefore find our strength and purpose in Him.

I can’t remember where I first saw/read the following quote but I now read it frequently and find strength in it each time I do.

“My relationship with God is my number one focus. I know that if I take care of that, God will take care of everything else.”

Let us pray
Loving Father, You have never failed me in the past and I trust You in the future to be my strength and my peace, for you are my Lord and my God. In Jesus name I pray.

Amen.
