Strength

Good morning and welcome.
Bible Story – PSALM 23
Theme – Strength
We have already heard about young David defeating Goliath. When he grew up, he became a great King, he had a heart like God’s heart – full of love. That didn’t mean that he was perfect or that everything was now easy for him. David used to write songs/psalms.

What a beautifully encouraging version of Psalm 23 that is. From the smallest of children with the most basic understanding through to the highly educated and clever amongst us, this Psalm speaks of love, joy and safety.
Psalm 23 tells us that just like a Shepherd looks after His sheep, God provides for us, guides us and protects us. Sometimes we face situations where we feel sad or afraid. We can rely on God to help us to be brave and to give us the strength we need for each day.

As we come to an end of the Holiday Club themes, once again we are reminded as adults that the stories of Jesus are still powerful, still meaningful and still encouraging.
We wish you every blessing through Jesus our Lord and hope you will share in our service online tomorrow from 10.30am BST
