In the Care of The Shepherd

Welcome to Sharing Our Faith Together.

Today’s post is slightly different as we celebrate the life and Christian witness of a much loved member of our extended church family who died recently.

Kev Pellatt considered himself an ordinary man, but everybody who encountered him soon realised this was not the case!

He was a man of many gifts and talents and an enduring faith. He lived out that faith in every aspect of his life, with his family, in his work, in serving the church and in his wide range of interests. With a ready smile and kindness to all, he was a good friend to many and touched the lives of many more. 

This visual reflection on Psalm 23, rich with peace and blessing, uses photos of the Yorkshire Dales taken by Kev and his wife, Sue. It was put together by Kev and another much loved member of our church family, Trevor Smith.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
As we remember the Pellatt family today, we thank you that you are our good Shepherd and we can all trust you with our lives. 
Thank you for your leadership, guidance and care everyday. Thank you that you restore our souls, give us peace, and bring us hope for all our tomorrows. Thank you for your protection and strength that surrounds us always. Thank you that we never have to fear. Thank you for your goodness and love that follows us, even chases us when are unaware. Thank you Lord, that you are trustworthy and able.

In You alone is rest and peace. We praise you for the assurance that we will dwell with you forever.
