Soul Café opens its doors several times per year. It takes place on a Sunday evening from 6.30pm. It is an opportunity to meet together over a drink and cake or take time out to reflect. There is always music (often live), with pictures and prose to help or inspire you. If you need space or a listening ear, that is available too.

All are invited to share an informal evening of praise and worship using the words and music of Sankey and Moody. The next Sing Sankey! worship will take place on Sunday 15 September at 6.30pm.
Ira Sankey was an American singer who brought many people to faith by his singing in association with D L Moody, the 19th and early 20th century evangelist. The hymn book that bears his name was put together in the early 20th century during a mission to Scotland.
These quarterly events are led by Paul Wood on the organ and Peter Blount, Methodist Local Preacher. Paul is a versatile musician and has a wealth of knowledge on Sankey and Moody.
This is a time of fun and Christian teaching for youngsters of Primary school age (Y1&Y2, Y3-Y5, Y6). In 2019 BackPackers Holiday Club ran on 31 July, 1,2 and 4 August. We welcomed over 50 children who ‘travelled’ with us over seven sessions to different countries as we explored the journey of Jesus during Holy Week and beyond, finishing with Breakfast on the Beach on Sunday morning.
Please contact Sue Muessig, our Interact Children’s and Families Worker for more information on our work in local schools or our regular children’s groups.
We also run Messy Church 6 times a year. This is a family orientated event with activities for all. Also King’s Kids is our weekly children’s club with bible based activities. You can find more information about each of these in the What’s On section of the website.
